About The Institute
Our Story
With hundreds of years of global experience among us, we have seen the need for leaders and organizations to pause and return to their roots to be healed, equipped and empowered for success. This refreshing process allows each to find out who they are, why they are, what are their strengths and opportunities and to fine tune their purpose. It can produce fresh joy resulting in financial sustainability through low attribution rates, stronger internal and external relationships and higher productivity. We utilize a variety of personal and organizational assessments to help leaders and organizations better understand themselves. Our team designed models to deal with the results of the assessments. The main framework and workplace culture we support is Joy at Work that we have taught and consulted on for some 18 years in about 26 countries to some 8,000+ leaders globally. It is our desire to keep this mission strong as we continue to transform leaders and organizations through love that ripples into homes, schools, communities.
Special Programs
The Institute will provide a series of special programs that further empowerment in Michigan:
Empowerment of the Poorest of the Poor
Removes barriers and equips those in the poorest cities of Michigan to showcase their untapped value to society as they become self-sustainable.
Empowerment through Writing
Uses the power of writing to empower leaders with storytelling, critical thinking, creative opportunities, and self-care that can inspire fellow leaders and emerging leaders.
Empowerment for Emerging Young Leaders
Recognizes, empowers and utilizes aspiring young leaders throughout Michigan for Michigan. Youths trained to teach youths how to thrive as quality leaders. This generation understands each other better than anyone else.
Empowerment of Students
Improves grades - based on a holistic approach that helps students to better understand themselves, their talents and their purposes. We will utilize music as a catalyst for success.
Empowerment through Fashion
A powerful tool for healing, offering comfort and support. It can boost self-esteem through empowerment. With creativity and self-expression in fashion, many can nurture their overall wellbeing in a manner that is meaningful to them and in a lasting way from the inside out. All toward higher self esteem, confidence at work and long-term careers.
Empowerment through Financial Stewardship
At the foundation of many of our issues is usually financial hardship, financial mismanagement, financial imbalance and lack of financial safety. Through this program we hope to help you find that holistic balance that includes financial wellness.

The Empowerment Institute for Michigan Foundation
With time, our desire is to have the Foundation provide grants and scholarships to those leaders and organizations that need assistance. The goal is for all to enjoy our services from the wealthiest to the poorest. We all need empowerment through love!

Our Institute Network
Our network includes The Empowerment Institute for Michigan, serving leaders and organizations in Michigan. If a local Empowerment Institute has not yet been established in your location, our Global team is your starting point for programs, consulting, and connection. Interested in helping establish an institute in your community?
Our Journey
Building on our inagural institute in Michigan, which begin in August of 2025 and launched March of 2026, we are excited to begin The Empowerment Institute Global in November 2026. Through Global and a growing network of local institutes, we are building connections to serve leaders and communities in new locations.
Phase 1: Pathway to Empowerment in 2026
The Institute provides evaluation, training, coaching, mentoring and workplace solutions to transform leaders and organizations, with overall health and wellness being the focus. Based on the needs, multiple services are available to properly equip all to do their work at their ultimate level of success.
Services are based on both core model and tools:
- Joy at Work (JAW)
- The Life Mapping Tool (LM)
- The Organizational Assessment Tool (OLA)
- The Access and Engagement Culture Matrix Tool (AECM)
- Leading with Love (LWL)
Phase 2: Retreat & Spa Center in 2027
In Phase 2 (2027), the Institute will add a Retreat & Spa Center for holistic healing through mind, body and spirit wellness. This will include resort-style gym, a water aerobics pool, yoga, nutrition and meditation services with a special touch of a city beach that brings the Caribbean Islands to Michigan through music, food and ambience.
Services will be based on both core model and tools:

- Inspirational and motivational sessions
- Special touch of a city beach that brings the Caribbean Islands to Michigan through music, food and ambience.
This is a place where leaders can come away from 1 – 4 days to empty themselves and refuel.
Our Next Chapter
We are focused on supporting leaders and organizations, strengthening our shared resources, and developing local Empowerment Institutes. Future offerings will reflect community needs and the capacity of each institute.
